You need form V55/5

  1. Download the V55/5 form from the DVLA website and print it out.
  2. Complete the V55/5 using this guide. You can download guidance V355 if you wish from the DVLA site
  3. The Registration fee of £55 should be made payable to the DVLA.
  4. You will need to send:
    • Photos of the back, front and sides of the tractor to be registered
    • Photo of the Serial Number plate (as clear as possible)
    • Photograph of the VIN plate in situ on the tractor
    • Photo of the number stamped onto the chassis and engine number.

    These can be enclosed with the completed form.

  5. You will also need:
    • Proof of ID (either a photocopy of your photocard driving licence on plain white paper OR a photocopy of your Passport/Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate/Decree Nisi or Decree Absolute (these are required for proof of name)
    • Photocopy of a Utility Bill/Council Tax Bill/Bank Statement or Medical Card (for proof of your address not less than three months old)
    • If you are in N.Ireland copy of Insurance or Cover note.
