Retaining the Registration Number on your International Harvester Tractor

1. Download V765 and V55/5 form from the DVLA website, or the Post Office.(You may also need the guide to complete the form V355/5 but you do have my guidelines)
2. Complete the V55/5 using this guide. Complete the V765 form if you are applying to retain the tractor’s number.
3. You will not have to pay £55 if your tractor is a historic vehicle previously registered with an old local authority and you have certificated proof.
4. You will need to send:
   • Photos of the back, front and sides of the tractor to be registered
   • Photo of the Serial Number plate (as clear as possible)
   • Photograph of the VIN plate and position on the tractor
   • Photo of the number stamped onto the chassis and engine number.
   • The original log book/or tax discs/or certificate from the old issuing County Council or any other documentary evidence that links it to the original number. If you have the original log book I will copy it and return it to you.
     

     These can be enclosed with the completed form.

5. You will also need:
   • Proof of ID (either a photocopy of your photocard driving licence on plain white paper OR a photocopy of your Passport/Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate/Decree Nisi or Decree Absolute (these are required for proof of name)
   • Photocopy of a Utility Bill/Council Tax Bill/Bank Statement or Medical Card (for proof of your address no less than three months old)
